FINAL BOSS
DESIGNED BY CARLO SEBASTIAN

Final Boss was originally designed for my junior design class during the spring of 2013. The project consisted of creating a brand for a fictitious flash sale company. As an avid gamer and a video game fan, I modeled Final Boss as an online retailer for video game related accessories, apparel, peripherals, and memorabilia. With the project lasting a full semester, I was challenged to create a full brand from scratch. From logos to websites, I fully fleshed my projects, experiencing a little bit of the struggles and challenges that accompany completing such a task.

OVERVIEW

It has been two years, and I finally decided to re-visit this project. I challenged myself to redesign this project giving it a fresh new look and resolving some of the major design challenges I originally faced. For anyone interested on the original project it can be found here.

Final Boss’ target audience ranges from 15 to 30 year old males and females. This allowed me to create a brand with a bold and colorful video game theme. As a gamer, in order to complete most games, you are often tasked with defeating a Final Boss at the end of the road. The culmination of this epic quest often rewards the player with loot, or items that are highly valuable. This is the thought behind this brand, allowing users to acquire precious items or loot that is rarely available in other sites. You are the player, you choose your weapon, you defeat the Final Boss.
